THE BEST, THE NEW , THE UGLY

Arguably one of the BEST footballers of all time and certainly the best of our era, would be the one and only LIONEL MESSI. With one of his best performances last night (does he ever have an average one ) showed the world why he was crowned best footballer last year, when he helped BARCELONA to a 7-1 win over Champions League contestants Bayer Leverkusen. MESSI netted 5 times becoming the first player in history to do so in a Champion’s league fixture. MESSI never ceases to amaze the BARCA fans and the world when he steps out onto the field and when he does not find the net he always seems to create goals where they are needed. His cunning footwork and mental ability is every footballers dream. MESSI truly one of the greatest, he may and can stand next to the greats like:

·         Carlos Alberto

·         Cantona

·         Milla

·         Shearer

These are just to name a few. MESSI truly deserves his spot with the BEST OF THE BEST.

The New comers to PREMIER LEAGUE football SWANSEA CITY  has grabbed the hearts and attentions many football fans if not thousands world wide.  They have battled against the top dogs and proved victorious. They have dazzled the Barcleys premier league with some fancy passes and ball movement and shutting their opponents out. They even out played the pass masters themselves at their own game this being ARSENAL. With much to learn in the BPL the SWANS have shown great if not outstanding character by adapting to the great game on this level quickly following their opening game defeat 4-0 against title contestants MANCHESTER CITY. This proved to be a hard but important lesson to the boys from Wales as they have stepped up and proven that they belong with the elites of the Premier world. Its hard to name key players in a squad where every player is a world class player but players like Danny Graham, Nathan Dyer , Scott Sinclair , Michel Vorm have shown that they should be considerd for their countries national squad. If nobody took notice of them before, they will definitely take notice now. WATCH THIS SPACE

The UGLY. It is extremely sad that racial issues always finds its way into the BEAUTIFUL game . Saurez was found guilty and charged with 8 games and 40 000 Pounds after being found of miss conduct. As a Public Relations Student an incident like this could severely damage a clubs profile you would think. However the matter is that this issue happens time and time again and so it is kind of forgotten about within a few weeks or even days. But even having said that it would be interesting to see how the PR department would handle it
