Crunch Time

With the Barclays Premier League coming to an end this weekend is a must win for many teams

Many teams have a lot at stake this weekend some need crucial wins in order to secure another season in the top flights whilst other are fighting for Champions League qualification.

Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle are fighting for a position in the top four in order to qualify for the Champions League. Separated with just a point these teams are fighting for their own title in its own right. Arsenal face mid table side Norwich, while Tottenham face struggling Villa and Newcastle face log leader Man City. Newcastle United can seriously dent Man City's title hopes as these two teams have a lot to play for. This is a must see.

Then Man U take on welsh boys Swansea City, and as any Manager said this season you cannot go into a game with Swansea City half hearted because you will get yourself into trouble. But with Man U coming out of a 1-0 loss to Man City on monday and losing that top spot they will have all the motivation they need to show the young guns of Wales why they are one of the best teams in the world.

Then we look at the bottom of the log Aston Villa,Wigan,QPR,Bolton are separated by 3-points. if Villa who faces tottenham who needs a win for top four loses they will face the last day of the BPL in the Relegation battle if wigan ,QPR and Bolton manages to win this weekend. whilst Blackburn Rovers chances of staying up purely hangs by chance that they beat Wigan and the other 3 loses their games in order to give the club a fighting chance comes final day next week

This will truly be an exciting weekend of football but to come to the real reason I write this blog. If a team gets relegated what are the implications on that team what do they lose and how does it effect the club. Do many fans stop supporting the club dew to them not being in the Top flight, Do sponsors pull out causing them to lose money and then do they lose their star players to Top flight clubs. Surely being relegated has its downsides with not many upsides I would think. From a PRP point of view this is not good image to a club. But respectively the clubs who manages to cope with it and do not lose sponsors and fans are clubs that must have a pretty good Public relations team. It would be interesting to see how they handle the media and pressure from the fans. It would be interesting to see what these PRP come up with

Enjoy the weekends exciting games until next week
